The Challenge
The Early Brew was created to become the go-to coffee stop for early risers and daily commuters. The client needed a distinctive identity that would stand out in a competitive café market while building an immediate connection with its local community.
The goal was to create a brand that felt approachable, energetic, and memorable without losing the authenticity of an independent coffee shop. Inspired by the morning coffee ritual, we developed a logo-led identity featuring bold typography, a playful mascot, and a versatile visual system that captures the spirit of every early brew.

Design Process
Creating the identity for The Early Brew centred on building a brand that felt as energetic and welcoming as the customers it was designed for. The challenge was to develop a memorable logo-led identity that balanced playful character with a strong, recognisable presence.
We began by exploring visual references inspired by independent cafés, vintage coffee culture, and the daily ritual of an early morning brew. These influences shaped a direction that felt bold, approachable, and full of personality while remaining versatile across both print and digital applications.

The logo became the foundation of the brand, designed to be instantly recognisable across every touchpoint. From takeaway cups and storefront signage to social media and printed materials, the identity remains consistent while giving the café a memorable and approachable character.
